Classic red-and-white lighthouse on the Long Island Sound with clean architectural lines, rocky shoreline views and wide sea vistas. Easy parking and public grounds (no beach access); office hours limited. Best at golden hour and sunset for warm side-lighting and reflections, or after dark for starfields and long exposures. Weekdays and early mornings are quieter; dolphin sightings and occasional aurora add wildlife/astro opportunities. Historic local charm with good roadside access.
