Small wetland and prairie preserve with ponds, boardwalks and open grassland backed by distant Rockies — great for intimate landscape, waterscape reflections and wildlife (ducks, herons, songbirds). Best at sunrise or golden hour for low light and reflections; spring and fall for migrating birds and wildflowers. Easily reached from Boston Ave with roadside parking/trailhead; no fee. Trails are mostly flat but can be muddy after rain, so bring waterproof shoes and a telephoto for wildlife.
