Long Deans

Long Deans is a compact Hertfordshire nature reserve of wildflower meadows, mixed woodland and small ponds — great for intimate landscapes, seasonal wildflowers, dragonflies and songbirds. Best at golden hour and spring–early summer for blooms and breeding birds. Accessible via Bunkers Lane with small layby parking; paths are mostly unpaved and can be muddy after rain. No entry fee; expect low crowds on weekdays. Lightweight walking gear recommended.
