Small rugged preserve with rocky climbs, forest trails and open viewpoints near utility lines — good for intimate woodland scenes, seasonal color and occasional wildlife (reported black bears). Trail is uneven and can be overgrown; parking at a corner of a park-and-ride. Best light: golden hour or soft overcast for even forest light; fall brings strongest color. Wear long pants, boots; weekdays/mornings reduce crowds. Pack out trash and watch for ticks.
