A remnant oak savanna and prairie with short easy trails offering expansive grassland vistas, seasonal wildflowers and small wildlife — good for intimate landscape frames, macro flower shots and bird/critters. Trails are ~1.5 miles; parking at 2639 W 1100 N. No fee reported. Best in spring–summer for blooms and birds, fall for warm grasses. Expect bugs and ticks — bring repellent and do tick checks. Weekday mornings are quieter.
