Dry scrub and sandhill habitat with low oaks, pines, seasonal wildflowers and rare endemic plants; good for intimate landscape, macro and wildlife (quail, gopher tortoise, butterflies). Best at golden hour or during spring wildflower bloom; winter/early spring offers clearer light and fewer bugs. Area is a state WEA—no fee but stay on marked trails, limited facilities and primitive parking at trailhead; bring water, sun and insect protection.
