Oak woodlands, rolling grassland and a ridgeline overlook make Foothills Nature Preserve ideal for landscape and nature photos — spring wildflowers, butterflies and panoramic views over Silicon Valley. Best light is golden hour from the ridge at sunrise or sunset; spring mornings bring wildflower carpets and lower heat. The preserve is open to the public with a small Page Mill trailhead parking lot (arrive early on weekends). Trails are moderate to steep; not fully accessible. No entry fee.
