A flat, easy trail along the Poudre River with small ponds, marsh vegetation and often-reflective water — great for birdlife, reflections, reed silhouettes and long low-angle compositions. No entry fee; small public parking areas along Poudre River Trail. Best at sunrise or golden hour for warm side-light and glassy reflections, or during spring/fall migrations for more birds. Weekday mornings are quieter. Trail is mostly gravel and wheelchair-friendly in sections.
