Coastal marsh, tidal flats and second-growth forest with boardwalks and viewpoints — prime for birdlife, reflections, textured mudflats and intimate woodland scenes. Best at golden hour and low tide for exposed patterns; sunrise and early morning offer active birds and softer light. Easily accessed from a small parking area at the trailhead (no fee); trails are mostly flat but can be muddy; bring insect repellent. Weekdays are quieter. Respect wildlife and stay on paths.
