Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Atlas Photo mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use our App.

Description of Service

Atlas Photo is a mobile application that helps users discover photography locations, view lighting conditions, share photos, and connect with the photography community. Our service includes:

• Interactive maps showing photography spots
• Weather and lighting condition data
• Community photo sharing
• Spot rating and review system
• User profiles and social features

User Accounts

To access certain features, you must create an account. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Providing accurate and current information
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use

User Content and Conduct

Content Guidelines

You may upload photos, reviews, and other content. By doing so, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, display, and distribute your content in connection with operating, promoting, and marketing our service, including in advertising and promotional materials across any media now known or later developed.

Photo Content Policy

Atlas Photo is a photography community, and we want your work to be credited. Photographer watermarks and credits — your name, studio, website, or social handle overlaid on your photo — are welcome, as long as the text is a credit on the photograph rather than the point of the image. Signs, storefronts, and other text that naturally appears in a scene are of course fine too.

What is not allowed is solicitation: images, captions, comments, or profiles whose purpose is to advertise a contact channel or an offer to buy, sell, or pay for pictures (for example messaging-app handles with “I’ll pay for photos”). This is the most common scam on photography platforms and results in removal and account action.

Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Upload inappropriate, offensive, or illegal content
• Solicit users off-platform — advertising messaging-app handles, phone numbers, or offers to buy, sell, or pay for photos in images, captions, comments, or bios
• Violate any local, state, or federal laws
• Harass, threaten, or harm other users
• Share false or misleading information about photography locations
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Use the App for commercial purposes without permission

Enforcement and Appeals

We use a combination of automated systems and human review to enforce these rules. Accounts showing clear, high-confidence abuse (such as photo-buying scams) may be restricted or banned automatically; every automated action is subsequently reviewed by a human moderator. If you believe an action on your account was a mistake, email us at support@atlasphoto.app and we will take a second look — mistaken actions are fully reversed, including restoring any removed content.

Privacy and Location Data

Our collection and use of your information is governed by our Privacy Policy. By using Atlas Photo, you consent to the collection and use of location data as described in our Privacy Policy. Location sharing can be disabled in your device settings.

Photography Safety and Responsibility

Atlas Photo provides information to help you find photography locations, but you are solely responsible for:

• Obtaining proper permits for photography in restricted areas
• Following local laws and regulations
• Ensuring your safety while photographing
• Respecting private property and environmental regulations
• Verifying the accuracy of information before relying on it

Intellectual Property

The Atlas Photo App, including its design, features, and content (excluding user-generated content), is owned by us and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our proprietary content without permission.

Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.

App Store Terms

If you download our App from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that:

• These Terms are between you and us, not Apple
• Apple is not responsible for the App or its content
• Apple has no obligation to provide support for the App
• Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms
• You will comply with Apple's App Store Terms of Service

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the App at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes through the App or by email. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of the Province of Quebec, District of Longueuil.
