Whitewater State Park offers dramatic limestone bluffs, a winding clear trout stream with cascades, oak-maple woods and seasonal wildflowers — ideal for intimate landscape and waterscape shots. Best at sunrise or golden hour on the bluff overlooks and along river bends; spring runoff and fall color are peak photo seasons. Park has a small visitor center, paid entry and parking lots; many viewpoints are short hikes but some trails are steep. Expect bugs in summer and icy features in winter.
