Small marshy island in Chequamegon Bay off Ashland, best for shoreline, birdlife and Lake Superior vistas. Photograph nesting terns and other waterfowl in late spring–early summer, or capture wide lake reflections and pastel sunrises/sunsets. Island is protected and boat access is limited—most shooters work from the Ashland waterfront, piers, or a kayak. Parking available along Bayfront and downtown; respect wildlife closures and keep distance during breeding season.
