Rugged San Gabriel foothills with easy-to-moderate trails, a historic stone barn/education center, picnic areas and summit views toward Mount Lukens. Great for landscape ridgelines, intimate nature shots (wildflowers, rabbits) and rustic architectural detail. Best at golden hour from trail viewpoints or barn forecourt. Park is free, small lot at Markridge Rd; trails are well maintained but can be hot in summer—bring water. Weekday mornings are quieter.
