Low-lying coastal park on Knik Arm with tidal mudflats, salt marsh, distant mountain views and migratory shorebirds — great for dramatic reflections, wide panoramas and bird photography. Free parking at the west lot; trails and boardwalks are easy-access but can be muddy at low tide. Best at sunrise/sunset for warm light and long shadows, and at low tide for exposed textures. Summer has long daylight and bugs; winter offers clear crisp light and occasional aurora. Respect local Dena'ina lands.
