Little Calumet River Trail
A 2.9–3.9 mi loop through hardwood forest, prairie, river wetlands and historic Chellberg Farm — great for intimate landscape, seasonal prairie textures, wildlife and vernacular architecture. Best at golden hour or overcast for even light; spring/fall for color & migrants. Free parking and restrooms at trailhead; trails can be muddy and buggy in late summer. Mostly flat and accessible but wear waterproof shoes; weekday mornings have fewer visitors.
