Mud Creek Trail winds through boreal forest, wetlands and a cedar-lined creek — great for intimate landscape frames, reflections, autumn colour and wildlife (songbirds, beavers, occasional moose). Best dawn/dusk for soft light and calm water; fall (late Sept–Oct) for peak colour. Trail is moderate with boardwalk sections; park gate/entry fees apply and parking is at the trailhead. Expect mosquitoes in summer and pack waterproof footwear for muddy sections.
