Best dawn/dusk for soft light and calm water; fall (late Sept–Oct) for peak colour. Trail is moderate with boardwalk sections; park gate/entry fees apply and parking is at the trailhead. Expect mosquitoes in summer and pack waterproof footwear for muddy sections.
