Small riverside park on the Sacramento River with meandering channels, marshy ponds, oak-lined trails and wide sky — great for reflections, birdlife and quiet landscape studies. Best at golden hour (sunrise or sunset) for warm side-light on reeds and long shadows; spring and fall bring more water and migratory birds. Trails are easy and mostly flat; roadside parking and a small lot at the trailhead. No fee; respect wildlife and seasonal wet areas. Weekdays are quieter.
