Prusik Peak is an iconic granite spire in the Stuart Range—photograph dramatic granite textures, steep ridgelines and reflections from Colchuck and Stuart Lakes. Best late summer–early fall for stable weather, clear skies and larch color; sunrise and blue hour give strong side-light on the west ridge. Access is strenuous: long hike (8–12+ miles round trip depending on start) with steep gain; technical climbing required to summit the ridge. Park at the Stuart/Colchuck trailhead (limited spaces) —
