Rolling native tallgrass prairie and bluff-top overlooks near the Mississippi River offer wide skies, seasonal wildflowers, grasses and good vistas for landscape and macro work. Best at sunrise/sunset for warm sidelight and textures; late spring–early summer for blooms, fall for amber grasses. Small gravel parking and short trails; some slopes are steep—wear hiking shoes. No entrance fee; weekdays are quieter.
