The iconic Colorado River meander seen from a cliff-top overlook — dramatic curving canyon, rich red sandstone and turquoise water create strong leading lines and scale. Best at sunrise or sunset for warm light and contrast; sunrise has fewer people. Parking is at the Horseshoe Bend lot ~0.6–0.8 mile (round trip) walk on sandy trail; small parking/entry fee applies. Accessible viewpoint has rail; bring water, sun protection. Drones are restricted within Glen Canyon National Recreation Area.
