Narrow sandstone gorge with sheer cliffs, cascades, and hemlock-canopied floor — ideal for moody landscape and waterscape images. Best in spring (higher flows) and fall (vibrant foliage). Visit early morning or late afternoon for directional light on cliff faces; overcast days are excellent for even exposure on waterfalls. Short but steep trails and stairs lead into the hollow; small parking area at the preserve entrance, no fees but limited facilities—expect uneven terrain and bring good shoes.
