Ridge Trail at Chippewa Nature Center offers mixed hardwood forest, rolling ridgelines and small wetlands with seasonal wildflowers, fall color and intimate woodland vistas. Best at sunrise or golden hour for soft side-light on trunks and ridge silhouettes; late spring and fall are most photogenic. Trails are mostly unpaved and uneven—sturdy shoes recommended. Free entry/donation-based; parking at the Ridge Trailhead. Expect mosquitoes in summer; weekdays are quieter.
