Photographers should visit at dawn or dusk for backlit flocks and warm light; winter and spring migration (Nov–Apr, Mar–May) yield the highest bird activity. Trails are flat but can be muddy; bring waterproof footwear. Small parking area off local roads, no fee. Protected habitat—respect posted closures and keep distance from nests and roosts.
