Small coastal preserve along M-119 with Lake Michigan shoreline, dunes, mixed woodlands and marshy inlets. Great for wide coastal panoramas, textured dune and grass foregrounds, migrating waterfowl and intimate forest light. Best at sunrise or sunset for warm side light and reflections; weekday mornings have few visitors. Easy roadside parking, short accessible trails and boardwalks; no permit required. Seasonal wind and cold on the lake—dress accordingly.
