Small spring and wetland in Saijō known for seasonal firefly displays. Photograph low, reflective water surfaces, surrounding riparian vegetation and bioluminescent trails at dusk. Best visited in late spring (May–June) after dusk; light levels are very low so bring a tripod. Access is on public paths; be quiet and avoid flash to respect wildlife. Limited roadside parking; dress for mosquitos. Cultural note: locals protect habitats—follow signs and keep distance.
