Jagged granite spires, stacked boulders and narrow chimneys form dramatic foregrounds against wide sagebrush desert and big-sky horizons. Ideal for sunrise/sunset silhouettes, nightscapes with Milky Way, and intimate rock-texture abstracts. Best light is hour after sunrise and before/after sunset; late spring–early fall offers stable weather but expect cool nights at ~5,300 ft. Most formations are reachable by short trails from small parking areas; bring water, sun protection and sturdy shoes. B
