Alpine basin of meadows, tarns and ridgelines east of Mount Rainier offering mirror-like reflections, sweeping wildflower carpets and dramatic mountain backdrops. Best visited mid-summer to early fall (July–Sep) when snow melts and flowers peak. Access requires a moderate hike from nearby trailheads; roads and trails may be snowbound into summer—check Forest Service updates. Pack waterproof boots and a tripod; parking is limited at trailheads and there are no on-site services.
