Short uphill hike from a nearby parking area (no fee); best at sunrise or sunset for warm light and low-angle shadows. After-storm mornings can produce dramatic skies and fog in the valley. Trail is moderately steep; wear sturdy shoes and pack wind protection. Weekday early mornings have fewer hikers.
