Linekin and Burley Preserves
Small coastal preserves with easy trails, salt marshes, rocky shoreline and stands of pitch pine—great for layered coastal landscapes, marsh reflections, tidal pools and shorebird activity. Visit at sunrise or golden hour for warm side light on rocks and marsh; low tide reveals textures and foregrounds. Trails are mostly easy but can be uneven; free access with modest parking at trailheads in East Boothbay. Expect seasonal bird migrations (spring/fall) and wildflowers in summer.
