A compact alpine spring where the Dargo River begins — peat-fed pools, rivulets, tussock grasses and low alpine scrub create intimate landscape scenes. Best at dawn when mist rises over slow-moving water or during late spring snowmelt when flow is strongest. Access from a roadside pull-out on Great Alpine Rd; short uneven walk; sturdy shoes recommended. No entry fee but follow park rules. Avoid winter unless prepared for snow and closed roads.
