Iroha-Momiji

Iroha-Momiji is a famed maple-lined slope prized for vivid autumn colors and a winding path that creates repeating frames and leading lines. Shoot close-up leaves, wide-angle compositions of the red canopy over the staircase, and intimate details of mossy stone and lanterns. Peak color is usually mid–late November; visit early morning or late afternoon for warm sidelight and fewer crowds. The site is on a hillside—expect steps and limited parking; use public transport to Sendai and a short taxi.
