Grand Bisse de Saint-Jean
A historic Valais irrigation channel snaking along alpine slopes with timber walkways, clear flowing water, distant peaks and village views. Photograph reflections, leading lines of the bisse, seasonal wildflowers and autumn colours. Best visited spring–early autumn for open trails, golden hour for warm side light; mornings and weekdays are quieter. Access via short hikes from Saint-Jean; parking available in the village. No entry fee but paths can be narrow and wet—good footwear required.
