Fantasy Canyon features intricate, wind- and water-eroded sandstone hoodoos and lace-like fins—ideal for intimate abstracts, textural wide shots and dramatic silhouettes. Best visited at sunrise or late afternoon for warm side-light and deep shadows. Site is BLM land ~25 miles NE of Vernal; short, uneven hikes from a small pullout on the county road. No facilities or fees; fragile formations must not be climbed. High-clearance recommended after rain and for remote parking.
