Clemmer Trailhead gives access to a narrow river gorge, forested slopes, and remnants of historic rail grade along the Hiwassee — ideal for river, waterfall, mossy-rock and seasonal-color shots. Small roadside parking; short but uneven trails require good footwear. Best light at golden hour and blue hour for long exposures on the river; spring and fall offer highest visual variety. Weekday mornings are least crowded. No permit for casual day use, but respect trail closures and private land signs
