Low sandy beach and tidal sands at the mouth of the River Ythan where common seals haul out on sandbanks. Excellent for intimate wildlife shots, wide coastal landscapes and sunset reflections. Best at low tide and during golden hour; seals gather more at quieter times (early morning or late afternoon). Access via Newburgh village with nearby parking; paths over dunes can be muddy. No permits required but keep distance to avoid disturbing wildlife.
