Dragon Point is a short, dramatic rim overlook into the Black Canyon of the Gunnison offering tight, vertical compositions of sheer granite walls and the Gunnison River far below. Easy, short hike from a small parking pullout; no entry fee beyond park admission. Best light is low sun (sunrise or late afternoon) to emphasize textures and deep shadows.
