Small local nature reserve with ponds, reedbeds, wet woodland and grassy rides — great for intimate landscapes, birdlife (warblers, ducks, herons), dragonflies and reflective waters. Best at dawn/dusk for soft light and active wildlife; spring–summer for insects and nesting birds, autumn for reeds and colour. Free public access from Pound Hill; limited street or nearby car-park parking. Flat, mostly firm paths but can be muddy; bring boots and a tripod.
