Roche-A-Cri is a 300-ft quartzite mound with Native American petroglyphs, panoramic Central Wisconsin farmland views and dramatic rock outcrops. Photograph engraved panels, textured rock faces, seasonal foliage and wide vistas. Best light: sunrise/sunset for warm raking light; clear nights for stars. Trail is short but steep; parking and a small fee/permit at the trailhead. Weekdays and shoulder seasons reduce crowds. Respect cultural sites—do not touch petroglyphs.
