Alpine lake set beneath granite ridges and cirques — shoot mirror reflections, jagged peaks, wildflower meadows (early summer) and golden aspens (early fall). Best at sunrise for glassy reflections and soft light, or at dusk for alpenglow on cliffs. High‑elevation trailhead: expect a dirt access road, limited parking and alpine weather; bring layers, water, and bear-aware practices. Overnight trips into Indian Peaks Wilderness may require permits—check Forest Service rules.
