Dunadd Fort is a compact, atmospheric Iron Age/Pictish hillfort on a basalt crag overlooking Loch Crinan. Photograph weathered stone ramparts, the famous carved footprint and cup marks, and wide panoramic views of tidal water and surrounding hills. Best light at golden hour (sunrise/sunset) when low sun sculpts the rock and carvings. Site is reached by a short walk from a small car park beside the A816; ground is uneven and can be muddy. No entry fee; respect fragile archaeology and follow path;
