A quiet northern Michigan fen of sedges, bog pools and low boardwalks—excellent for intimate wetland landscapes, seasonal wildflowers, reflections and marsh birdlife. Best at sunrise or golden hour for warm side-light and mist; spring and early summer for orchids and migrant birds, fall for subtle color. Small preserve with limited parking on Banwell Rd; trails/boardwalks are short and mostly flat but bring waterproof shoes. No fee; be mindful of delicate vegetation and stay on boardwalks.
