Mosquito Flat Reservoir Campground
Small high-mountain reservoir surrounded by sage, pines and jagged Idaho peaks — great for reflections, intimate waterscapes and starry-night compositions. Best in late spring–early fall when roads are open; mornings and evenings give warm side light and glassy water. Access via Forest Rd 609A; primitive campground parking is available but limited. Expect bugs in summer and changeable mountain weather; bring layers and a forest pass or campsite fee if staying overnight.
