Visit at sunrise/sunset for soft light and dramatic skies; spring and fall migration bring the most bird activity. Accessible from Main St with roadside parking; trails are informal and terrain is flat but can be muddy. Expect cool temperatures at 7,000 ft and seasonal insects; bring layers and bug spray.
