Small, varied woodlands with winding trails, a stream, boardwalks and seasonal wildflowers — great for intimate forest scenes, reflections, birding and fall color. Visit early morning for mist and soft side-light on trunks, or late afternoon for warm backlight through the canopy. Easy parking on Ceylon Rd, no fees; trails are mostly dirt with some boardwalks (bring waterproof shoes). Spring and fall offer the most visual variety; summer can be dense and green but darker under the canopy.
