Wooded Appalachian ridges, valley views along Big Ugly Creek, wetlands and mature hardwoods make this WMA a good spot for landscape, seasonal color and wildlife (deer, turkey, songbirds). Access is rural — expect gravel/dirt roads and small pullouts; park at designated trailheads. Best light at sunrise/sunset; fall brings strongest color, spring offers migratory birds. Observe hunting seasons (wear blaze orange), bring maps/cell signal may be limited.
