Sahasralinga — photo spot in PR94+WXV, Sadashivalli, Karnataka 581402, India

Sahasralinga - Image 1

Sahasralinga

Sahasralinga is a riverbed shrine where hundreds-to-thousands of small Shiva lingas are carved into the bedrock, offering dense textures, repetitive patterns and reflective pools. Photograph low, wide views that emphasize rows of carvings, intimate macro details, and long exposures of flowing water. Best visited in the dry season (late winter/summer) when most lingas are exposed; sunrise/sunset provide warm side light and long shadows. Monsoon brings dramatic flow but can make the site unsafe.
