Gora El'brus

Europe's highest peak, Mount Elbrus offers dramatic glacier fields, twin-summit silhouettes, moraine foregrounds and high-altitude light. Photograph from Azau/Garabashi cable-car ridges, Pastukhov Rocks or nearby lakes for scale; sunrise and alpenglow are spectacular. Best visited June–September for stable access, December–March for dramatic snow (requires mountaineering experience). Access via Terskol/Azau; cable car reaches ~3,800m but summit climbs need guides, acclimatization and winter gear
