Janney Furnace Museum — photo spot in 145 Janney Rd, Ohatchee, AL 36271, USA
Janney Furnace Museum
Score4.3A Civil War–era iron furnace ruin set in wooded Alabama countryside — photograph the weathered stone chimney, mossy textures, and encroaching trees for moody historical images. Best light: golden hour and late afternoon for warm side-lighting; autumn adds color contrast. Small roadside site with informal parking and short walk-in; no admission but be respectful of signage and private land. Weekdays avoid crowds; expect uneven ground and ticks in summer.
