Cassidy Arch Trailhead leads to a dramatic sandstone arch and cliff-edge viewpoints in Capitol Reef NP. Photograph the arch framed against blue sky or glowing at sunrise/sunset; sweeping canyon vistas and Milky Way shots are excellent. Moderate 3–3.5 mile hike with exposed sections; park at the trailhead inside the park (entrance fee). Best light: golden hour and blue hour; spring/fall for comfortable temps and fewer bugs. Weekday mornings are least crowded.
